Trottier held a rock paper scissors march madness tournament. This took place during the lunches of all grades. The person who won the entire tournament won a hand-crafted prize.
The competition was really good and the rules consisted: Best 2-3, no cheating. The winners for all 3 grades were Niamh Coleman in 8th grade, 7th grade Sean Gao, and in 6th grade, Brody Mieth.
We were only able to watch the seventh-grade tournament, however. The final 4 people in the 6th grade tournament were Brody Meith, Muhammad Essa Hesham, Jack Carbeau, and Maya Karmelak. The final 4 of the 7th grade tourney was Shreyon KC, Sean Gao, Maddie Hughes, and Rachel Berthleson. The 8th grade finalists were Lucy Car, Abby Clarke, Niamh Coleman, and Ciara O’Sullivan. We were able to watch the finals for 7th grade and it was a matchup between Rachel-Sean. Rachel hadn’t lost leading up to that round and Sean had some close calls but in the end Sean came out victorious and this is what he had to say.
What was the best part of this whole thing?
“Winning!”
What went through your head when you won?
“Just pure shock”
This was the first year that Trottier held the rock paper scissors contest. It was very entertaining and a ton of fun. We hope the Trottier can continue this as a tradition.
