2024 is filled with many movies, ranging from exciting thrillers such as Star Wars: The Acolyte to emotional cartoons such as Inside-Out 2. There are many strong candidates for the top 5 movies to release, though I have narrowed it down to the 5 best. Now, let’s turn on the TV and binge these fascinating films.
5: Kung-Fu Panda 4
Kung-Fu Panda 4 is the sequel to its previous 3 movies, the 3rd being released in 2016, 8 years ago! Many people
speculated that the end of the Kung-Fu Panda trilogy would have been done after the 3rd. The movie stars once again, Jack Black, playing Po. As well as Viola Davis playing the new antagonist, the Chameleon. Other voice actors include Awkinwafina, playing Zhen, Bryan Cranston playing Li Shan, James Hang playing Mr. Ping, Dustin Hoffman playing Shifu, Angelina Jolie playing Tigress, and David Cross playing Crane. The story as we know is that Po ventures to a new city, where there he meets the Chameleon, the new villain. The release date set for the movie is said to be March 8, 2024, the rating of this movie is PG, with the director being Mike Mitchel.

The movie Deadpool 3 is the sequel to the first 2, the last being released in 2018. It’s been a whole 6 years since the last time we saw Deadpool. This time around we are getting a very big character new to the Deadpool trilogy, Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman and the other main character Deadpool is played by Ryan Renolds. Other actors

Even though not much is known about the new movie, the reason that it is so high on the list is because the last movie that has been released in the Star Wars universe was in 2019, which was 5 years ago, for such a huge franchise, not releasing much, as well as zero new movies since then, this movie is very big. It is placed before the original Skywalker trilogy and many sp
speculate that it will begin a whole new trilogy, played during the time of the High Republic. The actors that we know about are Dafine Keen, Amanda Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, Dean Charles Chapman, Jodie Turner-Smith, Charlie Barnett, and Margarita Levieva, though they are not playing any confirmed person yet. Actors that we know are playing someone include Lee Jung-Jae playing a Jedi Master, Carrie-Anne Moss playing a Jedi most likely the main character, Joonas Suotame as Kelnacca, and Rebbecca Henderson as Vernestra. At the number one spot, I have Inside Out 2. This movie is number 1 because it has been a long time since its last release in 2015, which was 9 years ago, this movie is also trying to follow the lives of the kids watching, kids that were then 5,6,7 are now 13+, showing almost as if Riley the main character, played by Kaitlyn Dias, is growing up with us. Other cast includes
Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Amy Poehler as Joy, Bill Hader as Fear, Mindy Kaling as Disgust, Diane Lane as Riley’s mom, and Tony Hale as Riley’s dad. This movie is supposed to show that there are many emotions besides the basic 5 in the original movie, the suspected emotions include Anxiety, played by Maya Hawke, Envious, Embarrassed, and Ennui (a feeling of being lost in life). For the last three, we do not know who the actors will be. This movie is speculated to focus on Riley’s teenage years, adventuring through the many new emotions beyond the original five. The release date is supposed to be on June 14, 2024, and the rating of the movie is PG, and the director is Kelsey Mann.
Overall, 2024 is going to be an amazing year for movies, ranging in all different genres, from comedy and action to a heartwarming cartoon, and there are many movies that I did not mention including a new Mean Girls, a live-action Lion King, many more marvel movies including a new Captain America movie, and even a new Joker movie from the DC universe, but nothing can beat these 5, appealing to many different audiences and people, yet still connecting with all of us.
